The Forschungszentrum Jülich collects publication cost data from German institutions as part of the DFG programme “Open Access Publication Funding”.
When reporting their publication costs, the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) had agreed to share the data with OpenAPC, this data has now been transferred and integrated. In addition, the PIK has also reported more data on APCs and transformative agreements in the 2019 to 2023 period directly to OpenAPC, this data has been processed as well.
Contact person for the data set is Katrin Quetting.

The new data covers APCs for 214 articles (166 unrelated to any agreement, 48 published under an agreement like DEAL). Total APC expenditure amounts to 470,637€ and the average fee is 2,199€.
